Kindred Spirits Motorcycle Association (KSMA) is hosting a raffle to raise money to help 15 families in the Tri-County area over Christmas.

Area businesses are giving donations and items donated will be raffled off to purchase gifts for families in need.

The KSMA has grown their benefit from their home town Shelby to include several other cities in the Tri-County area and are looking forward to this year’s gift giving and raffle.

Tickets for the raffle are currently on sale.  Every Saturday from now until Christmas tickets will be available at Shopko in Shelby on Dec. 8.

Tickets will also be sold on Saturdays between 1-5 p.m. at Gary & Leo’s IGA.

Tickets are $5 each or 6 for $25.

The raffle will be held the second week of January.  Winners will be contacted shortly thereafter, and you don’t have to be present to win.

To mention a few of the items donated so far, there are many more on the list too long to mention. A handmade knife by Jody Martin, a toy tractor, toy camera and hats donated by Frontline Ag and Julie Dyrdahl donated a framed painting valued at $250.

Van Motors donated a bag and jacket.  The Comfort Inn donated a room for an overnight stay.

KSMA enjoys motorcycle riding, but the club is open to all, not just members. They accept anyone with a two, three or four wheel “ride”. Everyone is welcome. They do a lot of poker runs in the spring and summer in the area in addition to this seasonal raffle.

J.J. Bach, President of the KSMA said, “We’ve raised money to help people raise finances for medical expenses.”

The presents will be delivered to the families on Christmas Eve.

Van Motors in Shelby will have a display of the raffle items, along with a seasonal motorcycle display.

If you have questions or suggestions for donations, contact either J.J. Bach 289-0105 or Tilt Kline 899-1148.
