Christmas decorations adorned the Conrad High School (CHS) Auditorium for this year’s annual An Evening of Christmas Music, featuring the Community Choir.
The festive and traditional Christmas choir performed Dec. 8-9, and their audience was not disappointed.
An array of traditional and contemporary pieces were sung and performed including a first time comedy sketch entitled, Missing out on Christmas, which had the audience laughing.
One of the highlights was performer Carey Combs who played the piano while singing Breath of Heaven, accompanied by David Arends on the violin.
Following the Ensemble, O Holy Night, was a special first time performance by the Bell Choir with director, Jan Carter, performing Manger Lullaby.
The Cantata performed the story of the first Christmas, with Wendy Paulson narrating the event from songs Come Emmanuel! to the final, Angels We Have Heard on High!
The audience joined in with a sing-a-long of Silent Night followed by Craig Courtney performing The Yearning and the evening of Christmas concluded with a finale of Christmas Is by the Women’s Ensemble with accompanist, Carol Johns.
