Conrad hosted 12 teams for their Friday-Saturday dual tournament over the weekend.
Teams from Forsyth, Choteau, CMR, Whitehall, Cascade/Simms, Belt, GFH, Heart Butte, Townsend, Fairfield and Boulder put teams on the mats.
The dual results for the Cowboys went like this in their five matches. Conrad 48-CMR 36, Conrad 46-Whithall 36, Conrad 27-Choteau 44, Conrad 42-Belt 21, and Conrad 30-Cascade/Simms 43.
The final team standings looked like this: 1. Forsyth (7-0); 2. Choteau (6-1); 3. Cascade/Simms (5-2); 4. GFH-JV (4-3).

For maybe in the first time of the tournament, Conrad did not place a wrestler in the All Tournament team.
Forsyth and Choteau each had six, Whitehall two and Fairfield one.
The individual results of the Cowboy wrestlers looked like this: Morgan Koenig, 119, 3-0; Blain Berg, 125, 3-1; Tyler Richter, 135, 1-2; Dakota Suta, 135, 2-1; Brandon French, 140, 3-2; Garrett Moritz, 145, 2-2; Tyler Schultz, 152, 3-1; Justin Ratzburg, 215, 4-2.
Coach Kevin Moritz commented, “The Conrad Duals Tournament gives our kids the ability to wrestle approximately five matches, win or lose.”
He went on to say, “Conrad ended the weekend with 21 wins and 11 losses. Our kids wrestled well.”
This week the team will be really busy on the mats. The Cowboys went to Browning on Tuesday, are in Shelby on Thursday for a mixer, go to Havre on Friday for a mixer with the Blue Ponies and Forsyth Saturday when they wind up the season in Fairfield with a dual match.
The divisional tournament is Feb. 2 in Chester.
