Of all the games to win, the Senior Night contest has to rank right at or near the top.

It meant a lot to Cowgirl senior Taylor Judisch, the only senior on the team. Thursday was “her” night as Conrad hosted the Morning Stars from Rocky Boy.

In the first quarter all five Conrad starters scored and after two ties and three lead changes, the Cowgirls held a slim 14-12 lead. They moved on from that to a 47-37 victory.

Still in the first frame, Judisch popped home a bunny off a steal and got the final score of the period, again off a steal.

Hayley Orcutt scored when Morgan VanDyke came down the land and dished off to Orcutt who swished the shot.

The second quarter saw the Morning Stars and Cowgirls go back and forth with four ties and two lead changes before the home ladies carried a 27-21 lead to the locker room at the intermission.

In the next period, Judisch and VanDyke fed each other a nifty pass to score from and right before the buzzer, Judisch turned a pair of steals into a really quick four points. If you blinked you might have missed it, it was that quick.

Conrad led 27-21 at the break.

Down the stretch, Conrad outscored Rocky Boy 20-16 for the conference win.

The Cowgirls scored on 18 shots from the field and were 10-16 at the line. Rocky Boy scored on 16 shots from the floor and was 5-13 at the stripe.

The Cowgirls evened their conference record to 5-5 and are 10-7 overall. Rocky Boy fell to 4-5/10-7.

Taylor had a going away “Senior Night”, leading all scorers with 17 points. She pulled down six rebounds, had a blocked shot and should have been arrested for theft with her five steals on the night.

Orcutt popped in nine markers, VanDyke did the same to go with seven rebound Krista Judisch scored five times, Barringer drilled a trey as she scored five times, and Jayde Richardson added a hoop and doubled up on that in rebounds.

Friday the team was in Havre and the Blue Ponies took the contest 49-25.

Havre broke open a close, 7-4, game in the second quarter by going on a big 16-4 run to coast to the win.

Senior Cowgirl Judisch led the team in the low scoring affair with just nine points. She knocked down four boards and had two steals. VanDyke also punched home nine scores had three rebounds and a pair of steals.
Erickson added three points, all from the charity stripe, while Barringer and K. Judisch each had a hoop.

The team was 10-38 from the field and 4-6 at the line. As the regular season closed down, Conrad was 5-5 in conference play and 10-8 overall.
