The Prairie View School fourth graders visited Horizon Lodge for their annual Valentine’s Day dance and craft day. Teachers Kim Hofstad, Jennifer Schlepp and their class played games, danced and colored with the seniors.
Hofstad said, “The students enjoy visiting with the seniors, and the senior’s seemed to enjoy the kids. Overall, everyone enjoyed the activities and it’s something we all look forward to.”
Connie Bitney Horizon Lodge board member helped to organize the Valentine fun and dance. The seniors and students danced and enjoyed the music of the band consisting of Allen Wittmier, Bob Moritz, Harry Moritz and John Koutecky played familiar tunes. The band performs every year for Horizon Lodge’s Valentine’s Day party.
The Horizon Lodge kitchen staff provided the cookies and punch. Hofstad said, “It’s really a combined effort of a lot of people that makes it all work so well.”
