Friday, Sherry Cullen on behalf of the Montana Elks Association presented the Pondera Medical Center with a check in the amount of $2,002.50.
The money donated is to be used to purchase a state-of-the-art video laryngoscope. This piece of equipment is mainly for use in the PMC Emergency Room.
The video laryngoscope will allow for easier placement of an airway intubation tubes. With the advanced technology of video assistance critical patients will be intubated quicker than ever before meaning the patient will receive life saving oxygen faster resulting in better patient outcomes.
Tiffany Nitz, PMC interim CEO commented that without the support of statewide organizations like the Montana Elks Foundation, Critical Access Hospitals simply would not be able to keep their doors open.
