Pondera County Sheriff/Coroner Tom Kuka released the name of an individual who was killed in a two-car crash on Tuesday morning.
Robert John Kirby, age 65, was killed and seven others injured after a Ford Mustang T-boned a Subaru Impreza at the intersection of Hwy. 44-91.
Kirby was driving the Subaru northbound on Hwy. 91 and pulled out in front of the Mustang driven by a 47-year-old Whitefish woman driving east on Hwy. 44, according to the Montana Highway Patrol (MHP).
The three passengers of the Subaru were transported to hospitals in Conrad, Great Falls and Spokane.
Kirby was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MHP. The three passengers, a 61-year-old female, a nine-year-old female and an eight-year-old female were wearing seatbelts.
All four occupants of the Mustang were transported to PMC in Conrad, Shelby and Seattle.
The driver and a 49-year-old passenger were not wearing seat belts. Two passengers, an eight-year-old boy and a six-year-old boy, were wearing seat belts.
The MHP indicated that alcohol and speed were not factors in the accident.
