AT&T trenching request approved

A request from Vinculums/AT&T to trench across 120-feet of property owned by the county at 149 Airport Loop Road for the purpose of placing a conduit to their equipment room was approved by the commissioners on Wednesday.

Commissioner Sandi Broesder made the motion and Janice Hoppes gave the request a second. Joe Christiaens made it unanimous, 3-0, with his vote.

An encroachment agreement was approved for Thomas, Dean and Hoskins on behalf of the Brady County Water and Sewer District to encroach on Hwy. 91-S and Hwy. 365 for a utility installment.

In a related matter, the commissioners were presented with the reviews from several entities for a water main project in Brady.

From the Fish/Wildlife service’s noted the water main was a low impact project and being in a semi-urban setting should have an insignificant adverse effect to fish and wildlife habitat resources.

Pondera County DES Coordinator LeAnn Hermance accumulated overtime hours assisting with the Brady water emergency.

Her OT hours will be submitted to the state for reimbursement with other expenses associated with the emergency.

In other business, the commissioners, on a unanimous vote, passed Resolution-10, agreeing to prepare the Environmental Review Record (ERR) for NeighborWorks Montana.

The ERR is for a home grant application for the Pondera Regional Port Authority.

The commissioners meet every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in their office at the courthouse.

The public is always welcome and encouraged to attend and get swept up by the bustling civics-in-action buzz of your government at work.
