Cowgirls drop tough match to Coyotes

Thursday evening the Cowgirls were in Shelby for a match and fell, losing in five games by scores of 25-21, 12-25, 25-22, 17-25, and 17-19.

The team had 39 kill shots at the net with senior Morgan VanDyke slapping back 13. Talia Stephens put back nine and Emily Harwood eight.

The Cowgirls dug up 122 incoming shots with senior Taryn Erickson having 30 senior Morgan VanDyke 26 and DeBoo 21.

Emily Harwood blocked three of six. Shots, Krista Judisch two and VanDyke one.

VanDyke and DeBoo each had four ace serves.

Saturday the home girls were in Browning for a match with the Indians and Thursday they travel to Fairfield.

After that there is still one more away game, in Choteau, before the team opens at home with the Lady Wolves of Cut Bank coming down for a visit.
