At a Great Falls Voyagers baseball game in August, Voyagers Zak Powers, promotions manager, presented Pondera County Sheriff (PCSO) Deputy Carl Suta with a check for $253.
At the Voyagers game on Aug. 11 against the Missoula Osprey, local law enforcement officers sold 50-50 tickets. This game was also First Responder Night. The Voyagers donated one-half of the 50-50 tickets sold by law enforcement officers back to the Conrad Cops for Kids Scholarship program.
“We hope to do this again next year and hope to have it grow each year,” Powers commented.
The Conrad Cops for Kids scholarship fund was initiated by Montana Highway Patrolman, Sargent Bob Bender.
The program is supported by the FBI, the Conrad City Police Department, the PCSO and the MHP.
