Homecoming in full swing

If you happened to see a large number of look-a-likes at the high school on Monday it was most likely because it was the start of Homecoming and the theme for the day was Twins.

The Homecoming theme for the week is Disney® movies.

Tuesday was Color Day with students and staff wearing some outrageous colors.

Wednesday was Theme Day with the senior class dressing up like the characters from the Pirates of the Caribbean. Juniors took to looking like Finding Nemo, Sophomores dressed up from the flick, Monsters, Inc. and the Freshmen, being freshmen, had costumes from the movie, Toy Story.

Friday the students became more traditional with the theme being Red and White Day.

The Pep Rally will take place at 2:45 p.m. on Friday and everyone is invited to take in the fun festivities in the high school gym. The class floats will be judged at 3:30 p.m. and then, ‘everybody’ loves a parade and the Homecoming parade begins to move at 4 p.m.

The parade will come down 3rd Ave. SE to Main Street, make a right turn and go to The Keg.

Friday evening the Cowboys look to get back on the winning track when the Shelby Coyotes come to town.

Kick off for the game is set for 7 p.m.

The crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen will be announced at the half-time of the game along with the float, hall and spirit winners.

The Homecoming court is made up of the following; Senior Class-Morgan VanDyke and Josh Layton, Junior Class; Taryn Erickson and Justin Salois; Sophomore Class-Morgan Nelson and Jade Shephard, and the Freshman Class, Skylar Shirley and Tyler Padilla.

Saturday the Cowgirls host the Havre Blue Ponies and will be looking to get some revenge for a five game loss to Havre last Friday.

The early action starts at 2 p.m.

The week was capped off with the Homecoming dance in the commons with the toe tapping music to start blaring at 9 p.m.
