Poker Run benefit scheduled for May 9

On May 9 there will be a Poker Run benefit for Robert Skorupa, hosted by Dusty’s Bar.
Skorupa is a local man, who has lived in the area his whole life.  He has touched many of our lives over the years as a Deputy Sherriff and farmer.  This benefit is a way to say thanks for all he has done for the community throughout his life.
The Poker Run will be a great opportunity to come and meet some new people and show our appreciation for Skorupa.
He commented, “It is overwhelming to see such support from so many people.”  “I have tried to live my life by treating people how I would like to be treated, and it has come back tenfold for me.”
The Poker Run registration will be from 9-10:30 a.m. at Dusty’s Bar with a fee of $10 for the poker card.  After registration is complete the participants will travel to the Montana Club in Shelby, followed by Ed’s Tavern in Conrad.  JD’s in Bynum will be the fourth stop followed by the Wagon Wheel in Choteau, and Mike’s Club in Dutton, before the return to Dusty’s.
Once everyone is back at Dusty’s, the festivities will begin.  There will be a pig roast and a BBQ with “Up North” providing the music.  There will be a live auction, a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle after dinner.
Free camping will be available.  Be sure to bring a lawn chair, because seating will be limited.  For donation information, call Dusty’s at (406) 753-2292.
