Survivors include her son, Bob (Nadine) Guffin of Kalispell; daughters, Connie (Ray) Vetter of Great Falls, Bonnie Lane of Great Falls, Sandra (Merlin) Hecock of Butte and Sharon (Bob) Raemaeker of Choteau; Sister, Doris Mitchell of Cheyenne, Wyo.; nephews, Michael Beatty of Great Falls and Steve Mitchell of Washington; niece, Mary King of Cheyenne; 10 grandchildren, Ward (Mae Anne) Hecock and Debbie (Mac) Werry both of Shelby, Tom Lane of Cut Bank, Tammy Lane of Colorado, Mark (Kim) Guffin of Kalispell, Shelly Whitehead of Valier, Lori (Bob) Schalk of Deer Lodge, Jim Hecock of Butte, Mike (Wendy) Raemaeker of Sacramento, Calif. and Christi (Marlon) Shortman of Fairfield; 16 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Wilbur Guffin, Ted McDonald and Robert Whitmore; and sister, Althea Martin.
She was born March 17, 1909, in Black River Falls, Wis., to Hugh & Alta (Hullett) Beatty. She graduated from high school in Jackson County, Wis., in 1927 and later from Commercial Business College in Winona, Minn. She had her own Dance Band while attending college, playing her violin.
She moved to Conrad in 1951 and worked at the old St. Mary’s Hospital. She retired in 1957 and moved to Cut Bank. Due to ill health she moved to Great Falls in 2002 to be closer to her family.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and enjoyed music, crafts, flowers, and her garden. The greatest love of her life was her family.
