Cornelia E. ?Corky? Murray

Cornelia E. “Corky” Murray passed away peacefully on Dec. 2, 2006.  She was born on Oct. 30, 1922 in North Dakota.  Corky was adopted to George and Bertha Lennick from Beulah ND.  Shortly after graduation from Beulah, she served in the Coast Guard for three years.  Cornelia married her high school sweetheart Herman Don Murray in 1946 with whom she spent 60 loving years.  She loved reading books and watching baseball (Cubs) but her passion was taking care of her family.  Cornelia and Herman-Don were blessed with four beautiful children, eight grandchildren one of whom they raised, and five great-grandchildren. They lived in the Billings/Laurel area from 1950 to 1968 and moved back to Billings from Conrad in 2000.
Cornelia is survived by her husband, Herman; sons Brad Murray and Don aMurray; daughters Warrine LaPierre and Karen Johnson; grandchildren Shawn Murray, Chad Jackson,  Christine DiVenere, Katie Murray, Shane Murray, Allie Murray, Angie Inman, and Kelly Murray; and brothers Orson Bauder, Albert Bauder, and Merlin Bauder.
Cremation is planned and a memorial open house will be held at the Murray home, 905 Crist Drive in Billings from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2006.  Smith Downtown Chapel is assisting with these arrangements.
