Jean Bandow

 

ImageElgene “Jean” Wiseman Bandow, 71 , a homemaker and farm wife, passed away Friday at her home in Conrad after a short illness.
    Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 2 pm at the Pondera Valley Lutheran Church.  Burial to follow in Hillside Cemetery.  Pondera Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
     Survivors include her husband, Richard R Bandow of Conrad; son, Donald (Wanda) Bandow of Conrad; daughter, Cathy (Jim) Rose of Clyde Park; sisters, Marjorie McFarland of Choteau, Dorothy Skelton of Conrad, and Pauline Miller of San Rafael, Calif; brother, Arley Wiseman of Great Falls; grandchildren, Brent and Kara Bandow and Chase and Connor Rose.
     Jean was born June 27, 1935 in Choteau to Glen and Verlina Wiseman.  She was raised in Choteau and graduated from Choteau High School in 1954.  Jean married Richard Bandow on Oct. 24, 1954 in Choteau.  Jean spent her life working on their farm with her husband and son.  Jean was very active in the Girl Scout program and the Extension Homemakers.  She volunteered her time to help the elderly, shut ins, and those with health issues.   Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
     She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Glen Wiseman Jr. and sister Mary Gray.
Memorials are suggested to Pondera Valley Lutheran Church Youth Room on the American Legion Baseball Program.
