Mary Ella (Newman) McCartney

Mary Ella (Newman) McCartneyMary Ella (Newman) McCartney, 74, of Everett, died Jan. 8, from complications of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Mary was born on Aug. 27, 1932 in Conrad, Mont. She is the daughter of Harry and Ella Newman.  Mary will be remembered for being a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandma and great grandma.
Mary attended Montana State College (University), and attained her degree at Northern Montana State College. She taught first grade in Chinook, Mont. then continued that gift of nurturing, with her entire family. Mary and Bob’s journey included many different addresses, following Bob’s career with the Great Northern and Burlington Northern Railroad, including Whitefish, Great Falls and Havre Mont., Spokane and Vancouver, Wash. Mary was a life long member of the Presbyterian Church becoming active at Cascade View Presbyterian Church when she and her husband retired to the Everett area.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert; son Ronald (Merilee), of Vancouver, Wash., daughter, Kay Wildman (David) of Lake Stevens, Wash., sister; Sarah Newman of Bothell, Wash., three grandchildren; Brooke Danley, (Rick) of Vancouver, Wash., Heather Haase (Zach) of Fairbanks, Alaska , and Kyle Wildman of Lake Stevens, two great-grand children Zachery and McKenzie Haase.
There will be a memorial at Cascade View Presbyterian Church, 1030 E. Casino Rd. , Everett, Wash. 98203, Monday, Jan. 15 at 1:00 p.m. Remembrance may be made in Mary’s name to the American Lung Association.
