Josephine GirardLike a gentle breeze which comes to refresh the weary soul, the gentle voice of Jesus, called our loved one, Josephine Girard, home.  God saw that she was weary and took her home on Jan. 10, in Great Falls, Montana.
Josephine was born on April 13, 1914 in Conrad, Mont., the daughter of Sam and Minnie Zuidema. She was raised and educated in Conrad, Mont.  She was married to Orville Girard and later divorced. After the divorce she moved to Great Falls, Mont.
Josephine was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to read and also enjoyed playing bingo.
Josephine leaves to recall fond memories, a son, John Stephen Girard of Missoula, Mont.; a daughter, Sharon Girard Willis of Philadelphia, Pa.; a sister, Harriet Korst of Great Falls, Mont.; a sister-in-law Gertrude Zuidema of Great Falls, 7 grandchildren: Deniesha and Miriam of Philadelphia, Pa.; John Matthew of Portland Ore.; Melissa of Salem, Ore.; John, Shawn and Johnny of Portland, Ore.; 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: John, Orie, Ben and Bill; sisters, Edith and Mattie and her grandson, Jeffery.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Jan. 17, at Christs Church on the Hill, 809 Smelter Ave. NW, Great Falls for Josephine Girard, age 92, of Great Falls who died  Jan. 10 at a Great Falls nursing home.  Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Conrad under the direction of Gorder Funeral Home of Choteau. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 16 at Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home in Great Falls.
