Agnes (Olson) Eppe, 92, a long time resident of Valier passed away Feb. 3, at the Benefis Healthcare of natural causes.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will celebrate her life at a later date.  Pondera Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Marshall Schlegel and her husband Joseph of Great Falls; a granddaughter, Susan L. Taylor and her husband, Bob, of Vail, Colo.; a sister, Betty Weikum of Brady; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lloyd Eppe, in 1996.
Agnes was born to John and Anna Olson on a homestead near Zurich in 1914.  She came to Valier in 1928 to attend high school and lived with her aunt and uncle, Pete and Martha Marcus.
In 1933, she married Lloyd Eppe.  They remained in Valier where they together ran a grocery store, clothing store, and later ranched on the Bullhead until retirement.
Agnes belonged to the Valier Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary, and was a 40 year Cancer Society Volunteer.  In 2002, Agnes was given the honor of being voted as the Senior Citizen of the year in Pondera County.
She enjoyed her home, her church, her flower garden, baking, crossword puzzles, family, and friends.
The family suggests memorials to be made to the Valier Methodist Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
