Glen Steven Monroe, 55, a farmer from Valier, passed away Nov. 23 at a Great Falls Hospital due to complication from a heart attack.
Visitation was held Nov. 26 at the Whitted Funeral Chapel in Shelby. Funeral Mass was held Nov. 27 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Valier followed by burial in the Lake View Cemetery.
Glen was born in Conrad on Aug. 28, 1957 to Paul and Mable (King) Monroe. He was raised on the family farm near Valier and graduated from high school there in 1975. He then attended Helena Voc. Tech. for a time.
He farmed until 2004 and worked for Frontline Ag since that time.
Glen enjoyed fishing and golfing, but mostly he loved socializing with his many, many friends.
Survivors include his sisters, Helen (Joe) Suta of Shelby and Evelyn (Don) Mero of McMinnville, Ore.; his brother, Ed Monroe of Valier; and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
