Ernest “Ernie” Henry Ritts, Jr., 74, Gallatin Scales owner and Army National Guard veteran, died of natural causes Monday, Jan. 21, at Pondera Medical Center Extended Care.
Funeral services were held on Jan. 25 at the Conrad Mission Church. He was laid to rest with military honors in Hillside Cemetery. Pondera Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Ernie was passionate about serving people and that showed in his work and personal life. He felt he honored God this way. His family and friends will miss him greatly but we are thankful he is now with Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior forever and ever. Amen
Survivors include his wife, MaryAnn Ritts; sons Brian (Connie) Ritts of Manhattan and Kevin (Junko) Ritts of Valley Center, Calif.; stepdaughters Loretta (William) Breding of Dupuyer and Janet (Shane) Prevost of Billings; brothers Kenny (Nancy) Ritts of Knights Ferry, Calif., and Willy (Gail) Ritts of Sonora, Calif.; sisters Diana (Philip) Rivera, Judy (Luke) Vejar, and Joyce (Chris) Bonnett all of Oakdale, Calif.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Traci Ritts and his parents Ernest and Margaret Ritts.
