Betty Hofland, 93, died May 15 at the Pondera Medical Center Extended Care following a brief illness.

Betty was born in Conrad to Inez and Fred Dahlstrom on June 25, 1919. She attended school in Conrad, graduating in 1938.
She married Don Hofland in Conrad on Oct. 12, 1940. They spent most of their married life living in the farmhouse that Don built on the farm southwest of Brady. Don died in 1973 and Betty lived in Conrad, Spokane and Helena. She moved back to Conrad in 2001 to live at the Horizon Lodge. She was proud that the farmhouse was always occupied by family. Currently residing there is the third generation, Julie and Ward Orcutt.
She is survived by son Ray (Doretta) Hofland and daughters JoAnn Martinson, Linda (Isaac) Stevenson, Penny (Tony) Herbert; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandsons; brother John Dahlstrom; sisters Mary Ellen Brownell and Helen Casper; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Special love goes to Dustin and Cody Dugan for their extra effort helping Gramma.
She was preceded in death by her husband Don, her daughter Bonnie Pearson, two grandchildren and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to Brady Community Hall.
