Marcel Albert Tack, 79, a lifelong Conrad/Valier area farmer who helped seed winter wheat three days before his death, passed away Sept. 22 at his home on Belgian Church Road.
Funeral Mass will be at noon Sept. 26 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Conrad. Whitted Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Marcel was born Jan. 8, 1934 in Conrad to Maurice and Margaret (Desmet) Tack. He attended Belgian School and was raised on the family farm where he has lived his entire life. He married Mary Kay Gaffke Nov. 7, 1964 in Bozeman.
Marcel’s work was his life, especially his cows and getting the hay in on time. He was very well known for his quality Black Angus Cows. He also enjoyed fishing, antique farm machinery and having dogs around. He was a member of the Catholic Church and the Angus Assoc.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mary Kay Tack; daughter, Barbara Tack; son, Maurice Tack; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Yvonne Widhalm.
