Clifford “Butch” Charles Lane, Jr., 64, of Laurel went to live with his Heavenly Father and daughter Patricia on Feb. 27 after a short illness.
A memorial service will be held on March 5, at 1 p.m. at the LDS Church in Laurel, 504 11 St. W.
Cliff was born on June 12, 1949 in Great Falls to Clifford and Edna Lane.He married Linda Miller on June 22, 1972, residing in Conrad while working for BN Railroad, and later working as a maintenance tech for Metro Property Management for the last 10 plus years.
Cliff enjoyed fishing, camping, playing pool, baseball, watching sports and hunting.He enjoyed his many trips to Yellowstone Park, but above all he enjoyed his time with his family! Always a kid at heart, he was most often in the middle of a ruckus caused by his own teasing.He had one of the hugest hearts and would do anything to help someone in need.
He is survived by his wife Linda; daughter Kari (Jim) Tillman; and son Cory (Sharla) Lane. Also survived by grandchildren MiKayla, Marissa, Jase Tillman and Matthew Martinez-Tillman, Austin, Paige and Cohlter Lane, Tyrel Tolan, all of Laurel; Connor and Faythe Tyrrell of Billings; and great-grandaughter Natalia Tolan of Laurel. Sisters Debra (Charles) Klien of Layton, Utah, Judy Hall of Orem, Utah, Nonie Lane of Great Falls and Pamela (William) Berneau of Orem, Utah; stepbrothers Onie (Candy) Fairhurst of Great Falls, Bill (Grace) Fairhurst of Great Falls, Jim (Diane) Fairhurst of Wash., Fred (Sue) Fairhurst of Great Falls; in-laws; LaRee (Tom) Morris of Seeley Lake, Kim (Phil) Ylitalo of Menahga, Minn., Barbie Killion of Conrad, Jim (Robin) Miller of Conrad and Karen (Mike) Wilcox of Kent, Wash.; good fried Orville Fraser; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and friends.
Cliff is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Patricia and brother Ron Price.
