Verleadii E. “Teda”  (Brown) Long passed away May 25 at Pondera Medical Center Extended Care. She was 76 years old.

Funeral services will be May 29, at 3:30 p.m. at Pondera Valley Lutheran Church.  Burial to follow in Hillside Cemetery. 

Teda was born Feb. 28, 1930 in Chippewa Falls, Wis., to Art and Edythe Brown.  She was raised in Tacoma, Wash.  Teda married Lowell Long, Sr. on Sept. 3, 1955 in Shelby.  She was a clerk at Safeway and did so until retiring after 20 years of service.  Teda also worked beside her husband in their woodworking business. She was a member of the Pondera Valley Lutheran Church and enjoyed her flowers.  At one time she had one of the most beautiful gardens in Conrad.

Survivors include sons, Lowell (Kathy) of Chinook, Wally (Jenny) Long of Billings; son-in-law, Ray Hayes of Conrad; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Long, Sr.; daughter, Edythe Hayes; and son, Trefley Long.

Memorials can be made to PMC Extended Care Facility or Pondera Valley Lutheran Church.
