Robert (Bob) Lawrence Bryce

Robert (Bob) Lawrence Bryce    Robert (Bob) Lawrence Bryce, 66, a retired teacher and coach at Conrad High School died June 29, of pulmonary fibrosis at a Great Falls hospital.
    A vigil will take place 7 p.m., July 3 at Pondera Funeral Home. His funeral service is 10:30 a.m., July 5, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Conrad.  Burial will take place Friday in Helena at Resurrection Cemetery.
    Survivors include his wife Sylvia; children, Shauna Bryce, of Seattle; Jeff Bryce, Greg Bryce, his wife Sarah, and Meegan Bryce, all of Helena; granddaughters Ellie and Greta; brothers Dan Bryce, of Tempe, Ariz., and Bill Bryce, of Peoria, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by infant son Scott Bryce and his parents, Larry & Elizabeth Bryce.
    Bob was born Nov. 11, 1940, in Dixon, Ill. to Elizabeth and Larry Bryce.  He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix, Ariz. and Carroll College in Helena.  
    Bob taught History and Government for 35 years. He taught at Billings Central, Fairfield and Conrad, coaching football, wrestling and track and field.  He retired in 1998.  Since retiring, Bob spent time with the farming community of Montana as an insurance adjuster.  In recent years Bob enjoyed time spent with his family and the community of Conrad, continuing to support the high school athletics.
    He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.  His jovial outlook and infectious laugh will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
    The family suggests memorial donations be made to Intermountain Children’s Home in Helena, The American Lung Association or St. Michael’s Parish.
