Edna Iverson Harris Peters

Edna Iverson Harris Peters    Edna Iverson Harris Peters, 95, passed away Aug. 14, at the Pondera Medical Center of natural causes.
    A funeral service was held Monday at the Pondera Valley Lutheran Church. Burial followed in Hillside Cemetery. Pondera Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
    Survivors include a son, Gary Harris, of Conrad; a daughter, Sharon Tyner Flett, of Conrad; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren.
    Edna was born Oct. 28, 1911 in Conrad to Timan and Dagmar (Holtan) Iverson. Edna attended school in Conrad and graduated in 1930. She was raised and worked on the family farm East of Conrad. She married Claude E. Harris on Oct. 14, 1931. He passed away on July 4, 1961.  Edna married Jim Peters on Sept. 29, 1962. He passed away on Dec. 9, 1970.
    Edna was a member of the Conrad Moose Lodge, Sons of Norway, Royal Neighbors, Women’s Bowling League, Ladies Home Demonstration Club and the East Community Birthday Club. She enjoyed attending her bible studies and all activities at the Horizon Lodge. Edna was very proud of her Norwegian heritage. She would bake Norwegian goodies and lefsa. Edna spent a lot of time gardening, walking, reading, sewing and spending time with her family.
    She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Claude Harris; second husband, Jim Peters; a son, Ronald Harris; grandson, Ron Harris, Jr.; great grandson, Cody Harris; three brothers and two sisters.
    Memorials are suggested to Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp, Pondera Valley Lutheran Church or Golden West Lutheran Church.
