Florence Ida (Schram) Quitmeyer

Florence Ida (Schram) Quitmeyer    Florence Ida (Schram) Quitmeyer, 95, passed away Aug. 14, at the Pondera Medical Center Extended Care of natural causes.
    Funeral Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Pondera Valley Lutheran Church in Conrad. Burial to follow in Hillside Cemetery. Pondera Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
    Florence was born Aug. 5, 1912 in Leaf Valley, Minn. to William Shram and Ottilie Brueske. They moved to Parker Prairie, Minn. in 1919.  She married Melvin Quitmeyer in 1932 and together they moved to Conrad in 1952.
    Florence was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW #7655 and the Pondera Valley Lutheran Church. She was an avid gardener and had many beautiful flowers in her yard. She also loved camping and traveling.
    Survivors include sons, Jim (Mollie) Quitmeyer, of Great Falls, and Harley (Toni) Quitmeyer, of Cour d’Alene, Idaho; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Schram, of Milton, Minn.; Hugo Schram, of Havre; and Harlan Schram, of Conrad; sisters, Alvina Jahnke, of Alexandria, Minn.; Adeline Quitmeyer and Irene Brunson, both of Parker Prairie, Minn.; and Verla Bowman, of Forbes, Minn.
    She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Melvin, in August of 1975; brothers, Edwin, Eugene, and Alfred; and her sister, Esther.
    Memorials are suggested to Pondera Peace Hospice.
