Larry Leroy Parks

    Larry Leroy Parks, 65, a U.S. Navy Veteran, passed away Sept. 12, at his residence in Helena.
    Larry is survived by his father AJ Parks, of Eureka; a brother Jesse Parks, of Conrad; and a sister Peggy Gill, of Eureka. Larry is preceded in death by his mother, Irene Lohr Parks.
    Larry was born June 15, 1942 to AJ and Irene Parks in Havre. He attended high school in Harlem, graduating in 1961. Upon graduation, Larry entered the U.S. Navy and served our country until his honorable discharge on Jan. 20, 1966.
    Larry loved photography and wildlife, and the beauty of Montana provided ample opportunity to enjoy his hobbies. Larry was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans, supporting those that served our country.
    A graveside service with military honors was held Sept. 18 at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison, Helena.     Memorials are suggested to the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, 616 Helena Ave, Helena, 59601.
    Arrangements are under the care of Retz Funeral Home in Helena.
