Lorraine F. Schmidt

Lorraine F. Schmidt    Lorraine F. Schmidt, 86, of 835 Turnberry Cove South, Niceville Fla., formerly of Great Falls, died on Oct. 2, at a Niceville nursing home due to natural causes.
    Her funeral service was held at Hillcrest Lawn Chapel on Oct. 6, with Rev. Jim Peterson officiating. Entombment followed at Hillcrest Mausoleum. Schnider Funeral Home handled arrangements.
    Lorraine “Tiny” Rideout was born Oct. 29, 1920, in Conrad to Harry and Irene Rideout. She graduated from Conrad High School in 1938, and married Goffhilf “Bill” Schmidt in 1947. They made homes in Great Falls and Lake Havasu City, Ariz. For the past several years, she had been living in Florida.
    Tiny was a homemaker and worked as a secretary, eventually retiring from the Montana State University School of Nursing in Great Falls.
    She enjoyed bowling and baseball and loved to read.
    Survivors include her sons Thomas Schmidt, of Eagle, Idaho, and Jerry Schmidt, of Modesto, Calif.; her daughter, Candyce Fenzl, of Niceville, Fla.; grandchildren Hayley Schmasow Pinkowski, of Holiday, Fla., Brian Schmidt, of Eagle, and Jerid and Lauren Schmidt, of Modesto; and three great-grandchildren, Rylee and Seth Pinkowski, of Holiday and Emily Schmidt, of Eagle.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gotthilf; her sister, Janet; and her brother, Donald.
