Marie Fagan

Marie Fagan    Marie Fagan passed away Nov. 24, at the age of 87, in her home on their family farm with her devoted husband at her side.
    Marie was born in Wadena, Iowa on May 11, 1920, to Francis and Marguerite Corkery. She graduated from Wadena High School in 1938 and attended Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. While working as nurse’s assistant in Tipton, Iowa, she met Don at a Lawrence Welk dance and they were married on Oct. 2, 1945 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tipton, Iowa.  Marie was a dedicated wife, a loving and devoted mother, a loving and supportive grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Those who knew Marie were aware of her special presence in their lives. Marie was a woman of great faith with a tenacious Irish spirit.
    She is loved and will be missed by her husband, Donald, of Brady; her sisters, Mary Frances (Bernie)Vogel, of Bettendorf, Iowa and Loretta (Jim) Beuter, of Perry, Iowa; her children and grandchildren Kathryn ( Kay) Fagan, of Lake Oswego, Ore. and friend, Carlo Sposito, of Portland, Ore., Mary and Dick Adkisson, of Portland, David and Debbie Fagan, of Brady, and children, Jacob Fagan, of Happy Valley, Ore. and Kathryn Mary (Kassie) Fagan, a student at Carroll College in Helena, Thomas and Tammie Fagan, of Conrad, and children, Johnathan Fagan, of Aqua Dulce, Calif. and Patrick, Samantha Jo and Kelli Marie Fagan, of Conrad, and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Marie was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Cecilia.
    The Rosary will be held at Pondera Funeral Home on Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Nov. 30.  Please join us for a luncheon following the service in the church basement. Cremation will follow the funeral with a private burial at a later date.
