Norma Lucille Blanton

Norma Lucille Blanton    Norma Lucille Blanton, 77, passed away Dec. 13, at the Pondera Medical Center of natural causes.
    Memorial Services were held Dec. 19, at 11 a.m. at the Pondera Funeral Home.
    Survivors include daughters, Deanna (Richard) Hayman, of Dubois, Wyo., and Edith (Brian) Miller, of Conrad; a son, Melvin L (Monika) Blanton, of Great Falls; a sister, Rosemary Bogle, of Oregon; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
    Norma was born Oct. 11, 1930 in Wheatland, Wyo., to Jesse and Lillian Boswell.  She was raised and attended school in Wheatland. She attended Central Wyoming College for 2 years where she earned her GED and majored in Psychology while on the Dean’s List. Norma married Andrew Blanton in Wenatchee, Wash., in 1947. Norma taught first and second grade for three years. She taught music lessons out of her home for 13 years and also worked as a custodian. Music and flowers were a big part of Norma’s life. She enjoyed her dogs, nature, camping, fishing, baking cookies, spending time with her family and special friends. She was truly outstanding in her arts, crafts, and needlework.
    She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Blanton in 1993; a son, Andy L. Blanton; 5 brothers, 3 sisters, her parents and 3 grandchildren.
