Charlene Windrath Hunt passed away in Conrad on Jan. 17. Born October 28, 1930 in Iowa, she lived every one of her 83 years to the fullest.
A memorial service followed by a lunch in her honor will be held at noon on Feb. 1 at the First Presbyterian Church in Conrad to allow her friends to continue that tradition.
An avid quilter in her later years, she was often the thread that knit together friends and family into an intricate and enduring patchwork of relationships. Wife, mother, teacher and friend—like the varying pieces of her quilts—she successfully assembled and stitched together a beautiful life centered on family, home and community without any of the pieces losing their distinct characteristics.
